Book Club Picks New Selections for Readers

Sponsored by the Friends of BHL, this club has chosen books to read and discuss. They are: Emperor of Maladies by Siddhartha Mukherjee, Sept. 21; Snow by Orhan Pamuk, Oct. 19, and The Secret Daughter by Somaya Gowda, Jan. 18. For the Nov. 16 meeting, the group will participate in the “Let’s Talk About It… Bullying” program and will read any of the 17 librarian-recommended titles for adults on bullying or a book of their own choice on the subject. The New Castle County Libraries list, Suggested Bullying Books for Children, is available online. The group meets the third Wednesday of every month at the library at 7:00 p.m..
